JOB SUMMARY:

The team member is responsible for performing all duties, including but not limited to measuring the weight and labeling of all product cases before they are boxed and prepared for shipment, with-in the Thigh department to fill customer orders. Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are being produced by immediately addressing any safety and/or quality concerns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employee ensures tray counts are accurate, proper labels and correct date are applied.
  • Must identify product in box, use correct box (organic/RWA), place on scale, label product with correct weight and identification.
  • Ensures all information on case label is accurate.
  • Must clean scale at end of shift.
  • Must know how to change label rolls and any other general label application.
  • Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.
  • Must learn how to operate weight price machine and verify accuracy of information once label is printed out. Information on this label must match with information on product and master case label.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Help hand palletize cases (up to 50lbs.) when excess cases accumulate on the lines.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience is preferred, but not required for this position.
  • No formal education is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to speak English and/or Spanish, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
