Job Summary:

An oncology surgeon focuses on the surgical management of malignant neoplasms (cancer). The surgeon establishes the diagnosis and provides the preoperative, operative and postoperative care to surgical patients and is usually responsible for the comprehensive management of the trauma victim and the critically ill surgical patient.

Job Duties:

  • Our Geisinger Surgical Oncologist team is seeking a BE/BC Surgical Oncologist that is hardworking, energetic, work collaboratively with peers and other multidisciplinary providers, advance practitioners and specialty staff (licensed and non-licensed), excellent communication skills, focus on patient access and patient satisfaction

    Details: Breast Program, NAPBC Certified,GI Multidisciplinary Clinic,Well established Tumor Board and Cancer Committee, Participation in Clinical Trial, EMR: EPIC, Hospital Based Clinic (HOP), JCAHO accredited integrated health system

  • Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.May prescribeor administermedications.Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that includepatients'histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
