About the Job

PRIMARY PURPOSE:ย 
The Shipping and Receiving laborer performs daily delivery, order fulfillment, packaging, receiving, and shipment duties of component boxes and materials. Conducts scheduling of orders, ensures accuracy of packaging products, and scans bar codes within the SAP system. Works with other employees and departments to resolve shipping and receiving matters. This position is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly disassemble components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Medium level of manual labor.
  • Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol.
  • Pulls schedules to be run by production exactly as they are listed.
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completes daily inbound receiving of products and packages.
  • Accurately pull, pack and stage customer orders.
  • Use a computer to process FedEx and UPS small package shipments.
  • Use a computer to process LTL (pallet shipments). This involves using Oracle and other customer logistics sites.
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks using a pallet jack or forklift.
  • Unloading customer material from Crates, pallets and other shipping containers.
  • Responsible for input of daily receipts into the database.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge, and abilities that the incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics.
  • Knowledge of machine testing procedures.

Specialized equipment used in this job:
  • Hand tools.
  • Forklifts.

Other skills and qualifications:
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Perform the same task repeatedly.
