The Maintenance Crib Manager role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the AP2 factory for the Front Load Washer Program. In this role, the Crib Manager will develop, manage, and execute a maintenance spare part and tool crib system for operational readiness related to the launch and production of the AP2 HA Washer Factory. The crib manager will be responsible for day to day operation of the crib to support maintenance personnel to reduce production downtime. Also, will be responsible for maintaining and reporting inventory stock in the relevant inventory management software. In accordance with guidelines, the crib manager purchases spare parts and tools for the crib and is the direct contact for vendor managed inventories in the crib. The crib manager will oversee and direct all crib attendants and assistants in an efficient and safe manner. This position will be a core team support member for safety, cost-saving, operational improvement, continuous improvement throughout the maintenance department and facility. This position is 100% Onsite.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Maintenance Inventory management:
  • Maintain accuracy of all crib inventory and corrects disparities when found
  • Maintain organization in crib
  • Maintain stock levels necessary for maintenance to perform their duties
  • Responsible for creating new inventory items when requested by plant and setting up critical spares
  • Responsible for assigning items to Crib Attendants for cycle counting. Review reports and close out cycle counts
  • Ensures written instructions for the crib are developed, trained, reviewed and updated as needed
  • Ensures all employees have proper training
  • Review daily receipts to ensure all incoming inventory is accounted for
  • Perform and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports as necessary and develop corrective plan/action if needed
  • Ensure crib is properly stocked
  • Optimize Inventory by minimizing low-turn items and recommend action to remove obsolete inventory (ABC analysis)
  • Primary contact for Vendor Managed Inventory
  • Reviews and approves purchase requests pertaining to crib
  • Informs suppliers of quality issues and acts to reconcile issue
  • Identifies optimum reorder points based on delivery times and usage per item
  • Ensure entire team has necessary tools and equipment to perform tasks in safe and efficient manner
  • Assure all GE Appliances and OSHA standards are followed
  • Manage employee schedules

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Position Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in maintenance related field with 2 year of inventory management or 5 years of experience in inventory management or maintenance parts/crib experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with inventory management software
  • Strong communication skills including communicating directly with vendors
  • 1-2 years of management of staff experience preferred
  • Purchasing experience in manufacturing setting preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize

Working Conditions:
  • Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environments.
  • Work may involve lifting materials and products up to 25 pounds.
  • Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
  • Work will include walking and standing for extended periods, using stairs, cross-overs and ladders.
