Position Overview:
The Behavioral Health Services Registered Nurse (BHS RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic treatment. The BHS RN also provides crisis intervention, patient education, and support to families while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills are essential for success in this role.

  • -Work Schedule: Nights, 12hr shifts, 36 hr/wk

Education Qualifications:
  • Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing

Certification Qualifications:
  • Required: Current Illinois Nursing License
  • Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
  • Required: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) required within 1 month of hire date

Experience Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in clinical unit preferred
  • New Graduates welcome
