Job description

Work Location: Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, Inc.
Position Reports To: Human Resources/Office Manager
Exempt / Non-Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
Position Status: Full Time
Salary: $30,000 - $33,000 (annually + benefits)
Position Summary: Responsibilities include providing clerical support for day-to-day functions of BBHC staff by primarily managing the front desk reception area, providing customer service, maintaining files, and preparing documents.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Receptionist
• Punctual and reliable
• Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
• Answering, screening, and forwarding incoming calls
• Delivers messages timely
• Receives packages
2. Providing support by performing the following clerical functions:
• Prepare and maintain files
• Preparation of meeting material for distribution
• Arrange travel accommodations
• Compose meeting minutes
• Photocopying, filing, and scanning documents
• Pick up/deliver material as requested
3. Other Related Duties:
• Prepare materials such as agendas, sign in sheets, meeting materials
• Schedule meetings
• Administrative support as needed
• Other related duties as assigned
Experience, Competencies and Education:
• Minimum of an Associates Degree
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
• Strong written skills
• Self-motivated and exhibits willingness to take initiative

To succeed as an Administrative Assistant, the following is required:

11. Follow Through – Demonstrates the ability to assume responsibility for tasks and ensure that they are completed thoroughly and timely.
Mental and Physical Qualifications:
Good health as evidenced by acceptable pre-employment health screening, ability to function effectively under stressful circumstances, and acceptable attendance record. Has a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Will consent to background screening processes as required by the State based on holding this position of special trust to include fingerprint-based search of criminal records in Florida and nationally and drug testing.

BBHC provides a comprehensive system of care for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders for individuals in Broward County. As a non-profit organization, BBHC also manages local and national grants to develop evidence-based practices and practice improvement for providers and persons served. BBHC contracts with Concordia Behavioral Health to provide services related to BBHC’s network.
