Job Overview:
Job Summary
Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Natural Gas Foreman to oversee and manage natural gas distribution construction and maintenance projects in Tampa, FL. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in natural gas systems, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of crews involved in natural gas pipeline installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA).
  • Conduct daily safety briefings, identify potential hazards, and implement appropriate safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to plan and execute projects effectively.
  • Monitor project progress, track resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment and tools used in natural gas construction.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications and company standards.
  • Train and mentor crew members, fostering a skilled and productive workforce.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete daily reports, time sheets, and other necessary documentation accurately and on time.
  • Respond to emergency calls and participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.

Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or trade certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in natural gas distribution construction and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Thorough understanding of natural gas pipeline systems, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, PHMSA) and best practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a crew.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check.
