We're hiring a Quality Control Technician to join County Prestress in Whitestown, IN.
Job Summary:
A Quality Control Technician ensures products meet company and regulatory standards by performing inspections, tests, and measurements throughout the production process. They document findings, identify defects or deviations, and work with production teams to resolve issues and maintain consistent product quality. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication are essential to success in this role.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during production of materials and products
  • Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production
  • Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete industry
  • Regularly observes the production process, including setup, casting, stripping, and storage of product
  • Work with production to identify and resolve quality issues related to casting and concrete performance
  • Manage housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
  • Concrete plant and/or quality control experience highly desired.
  • Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
  • Solid math aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Preferred PCI Level I certification or the ability to obtain certifications as directed by leadership.
  • Valid driver license with clean driving record required.

Work Environment:
  • Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment.
  • Work in a noisy environment.
  • Typical work hours/shifts: Monday through Friday, occasionally Saturdays. Daily working hours varies depending on work assignments and customer needs.
