THE ROLE:
As part of the Production team, the Production Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of production processes. Your responsibilities will include various tasks such as purchase order (PO) creation, item creation, tech pack development, lab dip support, tracking the development critical path (DCP), assisting production managers, and managing time in action (TNA) for clients. Your role will contribute to the timely and quality production of garments while maintaining client satisfaction.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Purchase Order (PO) Creation:
- Utilize the ERP system to generate accurate and detailed purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies required for production.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Item Creation:
- Create and maintain item records within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of product information.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure that item specifications align with production requirements.
Tech Pack Creation:
- Develop comprehensive technical packages (tech packs) that include detailed information on product specifications, materials, measurements, and construction methods.
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure tech packs align with design concepts and customer requirements.
Lab Dip Support:
- Facilitate the lab dip process by working closely with the overseas team and customers to ensure color and quality standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with external parties to resolve any issues related to lab dip approvals.
Development Critical Path (DCP) Follow-Up:
- Monitor and track the development critical path (DCP) to ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any delays or issues that may impact the production timeline.
- Support for Project Managers and Customers:
- Assist project managers and customers by providing necessary information, status updates, and support to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate with project stakeholders to address their concerns and needs effectively.
Layout Approval:
- Coordinate and facilitate the approval process for artwork, carton markings, and heat transfer designs.
- Ensure that layouts meet quality and branding standards while complying with customer requirements.
Time in Action (TNA) Follow-Up:
- Monitor and manage the customer Time in Action (TNA) requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that TNA milestones are met and communicated effectively to the customer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in production coordination within the textile industry.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems for PO creation and item management; ERP M3 experience an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and textile manufacturing techniques.
- Proficiency in creating and managing technical packages (tech packs).
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
