Our client, an international denim manufacturer, is in search of a Production Coordinator (with Costco experience) to add to their team! Reporting directly to the Senior Production Coordinator, this position would be liaising all elements of production; product development, sourcing, purchasing, and production follow up with manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
  • Report to Senior Production Coordinator and Head of Production
  • Follow up on all SMS samples from suppliers including creating purchase orders.
  • Maintain flow chart of all samples needed from SMS, Fit and pre-production deadlines; by supporting design, production, and fit team in follow up of approvals and samples.
  • Assist in follow up on branded and private label garment production from artwork, fabric, trims, lab dips, trims, packaging, and all necessary details for approval.
  • Assist in issuing PO's for bulk production on branded and private label programs.
  • Communicate daily with overseas makers to coordinate production process and track delivery status of orders ensuring on schedule delivery.
  • Cost sheet creation and maintenance for price comparison for approval.
  • Coordinate garment testing & quality control approval process with senior production overview.
  • Coordinate with supplier's factory social compliance process.
  • Follow up on shipment approval, booking confirmation, shipping documents etc.
  • Communication with the traffic department to coordinate timely deliveries.
  • Data entry, style creation for branded and private label programs.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in apparel industry
  • Knowledge of woven, knits and denim an asset
  • Experience working with major accounts ie Costco is an asset
  • Strong computer skills; Momentis System & Microsoft office
  • Understanding of production cycle & timelines
  • Knowledgeable with garment testing and CDA/USA regulations
  • Creative problem-solving skills & organized.
  • Good team cooperation, team player
  • Able to work in a fast past environment
