Job description

What is my role?

The DTG Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the DTG printing department. This includes ensuring production targets, quality standards, and customer deadlines are met. This role manages DTG equipment (Kornit), production staff, workflow scheduling, quality control, and maintenance while driving efficiency and continuous improvement.

NON-PEAK SEASON

  • Monday – Friday
  • Occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.

PEAK SEASON

  • Workdays and hours vary based on business demand.
  • May include weekends, extended shifts, and overtime.
  • Employees must be available for variable hours and days as workload increases.


What You'll Do

  • Supervise daily DTG printing operations.
  • Track production metrics, efficiency, downtime, and quality performance.
  • Generate production reports for management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Prioritize jobs to meet customer deadlines and production goals.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate DTG operators and production staff.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Inspect color accuracy, print placement, image resolution, and garment quality.
  • Monitor stock levels of inks, pretreatment chemicals, and consumables.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across assigned production areas.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental standards.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and collaborative work environment.


What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • 3-5 years of DTG printing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Kronit is preferred, but not expected.
  • Experience with production management software and workflow systems.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate and work around production equipment.
