Job description

As a Localization Producer II at Riot Games, you are responsible for integrating global readiness into the lifecycle of Riot's products and activations. Reporting to the Manager of Globalization Production, you operate at the intersection of Product, Development, Content Production, Localization, and Publishing. You ensure that features, campaigns, and experiences are globally viable from planning through release, balancing executional excellence with high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Upstream Collaboration: Partner with Development and Product teams during intake to ensure internationalization and regional requirements are incorporated early.
  • Pipeline Maintenance: Support development and content teams in building and maintaining sustainable globalization pipelines.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Manage the localization lifecycle from source handoff through release, ensuring launches are aligned across regions and platforms.
  • Global Quality Advocacy: Advocate for cultural nuance and experiential consistency, balancing speed and scalability in partnership with product stakeholders.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify project-level risks across localization and compliance, developing mitigation plans and communicating impacts clearly to relevant partners.
  • Data Application: Use data to illustrate issues, improve predictability, and reduce rework at the product level.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Maintain constant partner alignment by communicating project goals and status to senior leaders and regional teams.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years as a localization producer in gaming, tech, or entertainment.
  • Strong understanding of game development cycles and the technology that supports them.
  • Conversant in localization content management systems (CMS), version control, and media localization tools.
  • Strong knowledge of internationalization best practices and global localization pipelines.
  •  Proven ability to simplify complexity and manage stakeholders across development and regional teams.
  • Comfortable working within Agile methodologies and applying them to localization workflows.
  • Experience working effectively with global, distributed teams and resolving conflicts in dynamic environments.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Track record of successfully partnering with globally disparate teams/stakeholders
  • Experience supporting R&D titles
  • Chinese fluency is a plus

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. And just like in our games, we're better when we work together. Our goal is to create collaborative teams where you are empowered to bring your unique perspective everyday. If that sounds like the kind of place you want to work, we're looking forward to your application.
