In This Role
As a Technical Producer, you will partner closely with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of technical initiatives that support the development and live operations of PC and console games. You will help establish effective production processes, manage project scope and risks, improve workflows and team efficiency, and ensure clear communication across stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced game development environment, is comfortable working with highly technical teams, and can successfully coordinate efforts across globally distributed teams and multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and drive multiple technical projects from planning through delivery, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and priorities are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Partner with engineering and production leadership to align project objectives, roadmaps, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Develop project plans, create detailed task estimates, and maintain project timelines and status reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate risks, blockers, and project dependencies while driving mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, production, design, publishing, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and improve production processes, tools, and workflows to increase team efficiency and project predictability.
  • Coordinate work across globally distributed teams and stakeholders operating in multiple time zones.
  • Track project progress using project management tools and ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear and actionable updates for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support Agile/Scrum practices, including planning, prioritization, sprint tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive accountability and follow-through across teams to ensure commitments and deliverables are met.
  • Monitor project health and provide regular reporting on schedules, risks, progress, and key outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a Producer, Technical Producer, or Technical Program/Project Management role within the video game industry.
  • Credited Technical Producer or Technical Project Manager on at least three shipped PC or console game titles.
  • Experience managing projects for both large and small development teams.
  • Familiarity with software development practices, tools, and production methodologies.
  • Experience working with development teams utilizing Unreal Engine.
  • Strong proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated experience scoping work, creating estimates, developing roadmaps, and maintaining project status reporting.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience shipping games through full development lifecycles, from planning through release.
  • Publishing experience within the gaming industry.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed development teams.
  • Experience working in fast-paced game development environments with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Basic understanding of source control workflows, including pull requests (PRs), code commits, and development pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or similar development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing technical teams with varying skill sets, technologies, and project objectives.
  • Experience improving development processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to a broad audience of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $45-$48.08 USD/hourly. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
