Job description

Position Overview:

The Washington Wizards In-Arena Host will work with the Game Presentation team to deliver an engaging fan experience, serving as an in-arena host and on-camera personality for all preseason, regular season, and playoff home games.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute live game entertainment elements, including on-court promotions, fan contests, and sponsored activations as outlined in the game script and rundown.
  • Attend pre-game meetings and rehearsals with the Game Presentation team to support the successful execution of all game presentation elements.
  • Represent the organization at community, season ticket member, and sponsor events, including emceeing appearances and potentially conducting interviews with players, coaches, and basketball operations staff.
  • Host will hold themselves in a professional manner in all interactions with staff, guests, and the public, including activity across social media channels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of hosting/announcing experience preferred (game entertainment a plus) with a strong, professional on-camera presence.
  • Applicants interested in the position must submit a demo reel for consideration. Selected finalists will be invited to participate in an in-person audition as part of the final selection process.
  • Available for all home games and select appearances, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to generate energy and engage audiences through voice and presence.
  • Knowledge of the Wizards franchise and NBA rules preferred.
  • Adaptable, coachable, and highly motivated self-starter.
  • Creative, high-energy personality comfortable in fast-paced environments.
Pay Rate: $80.00 USD/hour
