Position Summary
The Laketown Squadron are seeking a creative, organized and detail-oriented Game Experience Coordinator to support the planning and execution of the team's game presentation, fan engagement initiatives, and in-arena marketing activations. This role reports to the Marketing Manager and plays a key role in creating an exciting and memorable experience for fans during Squadron home games.
This position will assist in executing strategic marketing initiatives tied to theme nights, in-game promotions, sponsor activations and arena entertainment. The Game Experience Coordinator will also assist in managing the team's part-time game day staff (emcee, DJ, public address announcer, etc.) while coordinating the many moving parts of live game presentation.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, creative and able to balance long-term planning with real-time execution in a fast-paced live event environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Assist in the planning, organization and execution of all in-game entertainment, promotions and fan engagement elements during Laketown Squadron home games
• Help develop and execute themed game nights and special promotions throughout the season
• Assist in creating game day rundowns and scripts to ensure seamless timing and coordination of in-game elements
• Coordinate halftime entertainment, contests and other in-game promotional elements
• Work with arena production staff to ensure alignment between the control room, video board content and in-arena activations
• Assist with executing strategic in-arena marketing initiatives designed to enhance fan engagement and the overall game day atmosphere
• Support the planning and execution of in-game giveaways and promotional items tied to theme nights and marketing campaigns
• Coordinate logistics for promotional elements and fan participation activities
• Assist with planning and executing in-game sponsor and partner activations to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled; to ensure sponsor integrations are executed seamlessly on game days
• Coordinate logistics for sponsored promotions and contests
• Assist in managing and scheduling part-time game day staff
• Help train and supervise staff to ensure a high level of fan interaction and professional representation of the organization
• Provide on-site leadership and coordinate game day assignments for staff and entertainment teams
• Assist in building in-game player entertainment captured during Media Day
• Support video editing and the creation of hype videos, fan prompts and video board elements
• Write and edit scripts for in-game promotions, public address reads and entertainment segments
What You'll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in sports, live event production, marketing or game presentation
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong script writing ability
• Experience with graphic design and video editing preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly during live events
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other creative tools preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments including marketing, partnerships, arena operations, tickets and production
Work Environment
• Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays - including all Laketown Squadron home games and select team events
• Ability to stand, walk and move throughout the arena for extended periods during events
• Ability to manage live event environments that require quick thinking and real-time decision-making
