Job description

Zawyer Sports and the Charlotte Checkers are seeking highly motivated, outgoing, and dedicated candidates for our Graphic Designer and Game Presentation Coordinator. Candidates should expect to build upon their work experience in the fast-paced, results driven world of sports. This role will join our Zawyer Sports Marketing Department and work on design for all of our entities. Finalists will be contacted for interviews.
Graphic Design
  • Design a wide range of creative assets, including social media graphics, marketing campaigns, print collateral, web assets, email graphics, proposals, billboards, and in-arena visuals.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all content while incorporating feedback from the marketing team and Zawyer management.
  • Support the development and execution of digital and social media strategies with a focus on visual storytelling.
  • Assist with social media content creation, posting, and content collection.
  • Support partnership and ticketing departments with presentation decks and promotional materials.

Game Presentation & Event Production
  • Help direct home games, overseeing and executing all elements of the in-arena fan experience.
  • Assist game day operations including scripting, music, video board content, LED displays, promotions, ceremonies, and show timing.
  • Implement and manage in-game ticketing, group sales, and corporate activations (e.g., chuck-a-puck, anthem performances, intermission promotions).
  • Coordinate video and LED production in collaboration with arena technical staff and production teams.
  • Plan and execute theme nights, fan appreciation events, opening night festivities, playoff games, and special ceremonies.
  • Act as a liaison between internal departments, arena operations (technical/stage/ops), and external vendors.
  • Create and manage sellable in-game inventory aligned with team branding and sponsor needs.
  • Ensure total fan and partner satisfaction during all games and events.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio.
  • 1-2 years of experience in live game presentation or event production, preferably in professional or minor league sports.
  • Experience with game presentation systems preferred.
  • Experience managing teams and coordinating live productions under pressure.

Technical Skills
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Microsoft Office.
