Job description

Position Overview:

The Wizards Game Presentation Intern is responsible for assisting in building an exciting fan environment for Washington Wizards home games. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining a high-quality game night show at all Wizards home games and events.
  • Organize and carry out game night promotions and activations.
  • Aid with the preparation and execution of all Wizards home games.
  • Provide administrative organization and day-to-day operations support.
  • Assist with creation of game night elements and promotions.
  • Research new game presentation methods such as in-game contests, lighting and production, or fan engagement in order to pitch ideas to the team.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to all guests to improve the Wizards entertainment experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Great teammate; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; creative.
  • Ability to multi-task; detail driven.
  • Available to work 20-25 hours per week between September and May.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
  • Previous game entertainment experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of professional sports and is passionate about building an exciting atmosphere for fans.
  • Basketball knowledge is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and housing.
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
