Job description

Job purpose

Game Leads work in the Games and Arcades, keeping them well-stocked and organized. If you are looking for a position with responsibility, this position needs team members who can handle money and supervise other team members.

Duties and responsibilities

Game Operation

  • Be knowledgeable about all rules of the game.
  • Be able to teach guests how to play the game.
  • Award prizes as appropriate.
  • Record prizes on prize tally sheet as appropriate.
  • Make sure guest has a great time and leaves your game satisfied, even if they lose.

Provide and maintain a safe, fun, and clean guest friendly atmosphere.

  • Engage guests to advertise game and invite guests to play.
  • Clean game spaceand immediate surrounding area as necessary.
  • Notify management when a more advanced cleaning is necessary.
  • Be attentive to guests needs.
  • Be able to assist guests or find someone that can.

Maintain Game Appearance

  • Maintain fully stocked prize walls.
  • Notify management when running low on prize stock or game supplies.
  • Notify management when running low on cleaning supplies.

Comply with all policies and procedures of Funtown Splashtown USA

  • Follow all policies and procedures of the department.
  • Maintain professional appearance following all uniform guidelines.
  • Attend all required department, interdepartmental, and park trainings.
  • You may be assigned to other duties as necessary.

Including the above, also performs the following supervisory duties:

  • Monitors all game operations.
  • Responsible for making change for guests.
  • Verifies all paperwork is completed throughout the day and keeps accurate records.
  • Opens and preps games every morning as assigned by manager.
  • Assist Manager in closing and securing games at night.
  • Monitors game attendants.
  • Be aware of game attendant needs and your area.
  • Provides breaks to all game attendants.
  • Verifies all game prize walls are properly stocked throughout the day.
  • Communicates staffing and operational issues to Games Manager.
  • Works with Games Manager to orient and train all game attendants.
  • Assists Games Manager with any other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
  • No prior experience required, will train on the job.
  • A successful applicant will have strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude who is able to work alone and as part of a team.

Working conditions

  • While we do our best to provide shaded areas for our employees to be in, it is impossible to guarantee this at all times of the day. You may be in direct/indirect sunlight for long periods of time. We operate in most summer weather conditions and since you are outside, and Maine weather is unpredictable, we ask that you dress appropriately and are prepared for light to heavy rain, changes in temperature, and humidity.
  • We also suggest that you always come prepared with snacks, meals, and a water bottle full of water (we will refill water as much as needed for you).

Physical requirements

  • Applicant should be able to stand for long periods of time while occasionally walking short distances.
  • Select tasks may require the ability to lift up to 30lbs.
