Job description

Citi is looking to hire a Vice President into the Americas FX Sales Client Strategy team in New York. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution for Markets Corporate FX Sales in the Americas (North America and Latin America).

You will play a key role in shaping the Americas FX Client strategy — identifying and executing on growth opportunities, leading regional initiatives, and delivering data-driven insights that strengthen client relationships and drive sales effectiveness. This role carries a strong analytics mandate: you will build, maintain, and continuously improve the data infrastructure, dashboards, and analytical frameworks that underpin client and business decision-making across the Americas FX franchise. Working in close partnership with stakeholders across products, regions, and functions, you will bring a rigorous, data-driven approach to understanding client needs and unlocking new business opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with FX Sales heads (Regional and Country), other regional FX Sales Client Execution (CE) teams, Business Execution (BE) teams, Technology, and partners in Markets, Banking and Services, as well as with global counterparts in EMEA and APAC to ensure alignment of methodology and best practices across regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Help drive Americas FX Sales strategy — Contribute meaningfully to the overall Americas FX Sales strategy, identifying and spearheading strategic growth opportunities across the Corporate franchise in NAM and LATAM
  • Define Initiative Roadmaps — Identify key milestones and critical enablers required to successfully implement initiatives outlined by the FX Sales strategy
  • Lead Regional Projects & Campaigns — Independently manage and execute regional projects, client initiatives, and sales campaigns from inception through to delivery across NAM and LATAM
  • Data Analytics & Dashboard Ownership — Own and enhance the Client Intensity dashboard and other analytical tools; lead data gathering, cleansing, manipulation, and modelling across multiple internal and third-party data sources to support Sales decision-making
  • Monitor Progress & Drive Accountability — Track the progress of client initiatives, ensuring clear ownership and accountability across teams
  • Cross-Regional Collaboration — Coordinate closely with senior stakeholders and sales teams across NAM, LATAM, and Globally, synthesising inputs to inform and align on strategic priorities
  • Coalition Analysis & Strategy — Lead Coalition submissions, analyses, and dissemination for the Americas and coordinate it Globally; partner with regional sales heads and CE leadership to develop targeted action plans that address performance gaps and wallet gaps. Leverage Coalition and internal data to develop bespoke client and competitor insights, identify wallet opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making across the business
  • Analytics & Actionable Output — Distil complex, large-scale datasets into key themes, validate analytical findings, and translate them into clear, actionable outputs and visualizations that promote growth and support commercial objectives
  • Senior & Business Reviews — Play a significant role in the preparation of business reviews, senior management presentations, and Townhalls, with a strong emphasis on data storytelling and quantitative rigor
  • Process & Efficiency Building — Design and implement efficient processes, tools, and automated reporting solutions that create capacity within the Sales function and enhance overall team productivity
  • Special Projects & BAU Support — Support Global FX Sales BAU activities and ad-hoc special projects, including data requests from senior stakeholders across Markets, Banking, and Services
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience; a quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering) is a plus
  • Strategic vision to identify new areas of growth opportunity, with the ability to structure and drive projects from idea to completion
  • Proven project management skills — with the ability to lead initiatives from launch through to successful delivery, maintaining clear oversight and accountability at every stage
  • Strong, demonstrable data analytics capability — proven ability to gather, clean, manipulate, and interrogate large and complex datasets, and to distil them into key themes and actionable, growth-oriented outputs
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modelling; advanced PowerPoint skills for senior-level presentations
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics and visualization tools is strongly preferred (e.g., Qlikview/QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI, ThinkCell); working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar tools for data manipulation is a strong plus
  • Tech-savvy and forward-thinking, with an enthusiasm for harnessing AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance workflow, automate reporting, and improve the quality of analytical output
  • Comfortable working with large, multi-source datasets and translating analytical findings into clear strategic recommendations
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and accountability, works effectively under pressure, and drives results with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with the interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively across a matrixed, multi-cultural regional and global organisation
  • Creative and entrepreneurial in spirit, with a problem-solving mindset, a proactive approach to identifying gaps, and a continuous drive to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Adaptable and composed, with the patience to navigate complexity and ambiguity, and the agility to respond quickly to a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Able to manage multiple priorities concurrently, demonstrating strong time management and stakeholder management abilities across concurrent projects and tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex, data-driven ideas clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences, including senior management
  • Brings a positive and resilient mindset — approaches challenges with energy and optimism and contributes to a constructive and motivated team culture
  • Prior experience in or familiarity with Markets and Banking preferred; demonstrated examples of successful growth strategy implementation and/or data analytics project delivery are desirable
