FURNACE OPERATOR
- 2ND SHIFT
Rochester, IN • Melt Department
Are you ready to take on a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Join our Melt Department team as a Furnace Operator and play a critical role in producing high-quality metal products. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in physically active settings and take pride in precision, safety, and teamwork.
Pay Rates/Shift:
2nd Shift: 3 pm - 12 am
$ 28.59/hourWhat You'll Do
As a Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring multiple induction furnaces while ensuring proper chemistry and temperature specifications are maintained. Your day-to-day work will include:
  • Adding alloys (lifting up to 50 lbs) to maintain proper metal composition
  • Taking and analyzing temperature readings and material samples
  • Making real-time adjustments based on test results
  • Accurately recording production data and furnace activity
  • Supporting overall Melt Department operations

This is a dynamic role where attention to detail and safety are essential.
