Asama Coldwater Manufacturing is seeking a Casting Assistant Manager to oversee daily foundry and metal casting operations.

This leadership role bridges executive strategy and floor-level execution—ensuring safety, production efficiency, quality standards, and cost control across casting operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong foundry experience, hands-on leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a high-heat manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Leadership
  • Oversee daily metal casting and foundry operations
  • Ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met or exceeded
  • Maintain strong floor presence across shifts
  • Manage production schedules, staffing, and workflow planning
  • Coordinate movement of goods to support accurate inventory control
Team Management & Development
  • Supervise casting department leadership and staff
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and develop personnel
  • Manage schedules and assign responsibilities
  • Resolve personnel and operational challenges
Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards
  • Ensure proper PPE compliance

Education

Experience

  • 3–7 years of foundry or metal casting experience
  • Prior manufacturing leadership experience

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of melting furnaces, sand systems, cranes
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
