What is a funnel hacker?

A Funnel Hacker is someone who studies, analyzes, and replicates successful online sales funnels to improve their own marketing strategies and business growth. This person typically examines how other companies attract and convert customers, then applies these insights by building or optimizing their own funnels using tools like ClickFunnels. Funnel Hackers focus on increasing sales, maximizing conversions, and automating the customer journey. They are often skilled in marketing, copywriting, and digital analytics.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a funnel hacker?

To thrive as a Funnel Hacker, you need a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, sales funnel design, and conversion optimization, often supported by experience with online marketing or related certifications. Familiarity with funnel-building platforms like ClickFunnels, analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and email marketing systems is crucial. Creativity, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving abilities help you stand out in crafting high-performing funnels. These skills enable you to drive targeted traffic, maximize conversions, and achieve business growth objectives efficiently.

What are common challenges funnel hackers face when optimizing sales funnels, and how can they overcome them?

Funnel Hackers often encounter challenges such as low conversion rates, unclear customer journeys, and integrating multiple marketing tools. Overcoming these obstacles requires a strong analytical mindset to evaluate data, conduct A/B testing, and continually iterate on funnel steps. Collaboration with designers, copywriters, and developers is crucial to ensure that each stage of the funnel aligns with both user experience and business goals. Staying updated on the latest funnel-building tools and digital marketing trends also helps Funnel Hackers address these challenges effectively.

Job description

Improvado is an AI-powered marketing data platform built for mid-market and enterprise teams. We help companies automate complex marketing data workflows, unify data at scale, and surface insights through BI and AI. Brands like ASUS, Docker, Activision, and H&R Block rely on us to simplify analytics and improve marketing performance.
We're a fast-growing Series A startup backed by $34M in funding and driven by a team that moves fast, stays curious, and cares about high-quality execution.
We're looking for a specialist who fits one of two profiles - Growth Experimentation or Outbound + Agentic AI. Read both and apply if you fit either.
What you'll do
  • Analyze funnel performance, surface insights, and act on them without waiting to be asked
  • Build AI-powered workflows that replace manual work: copy generation, audience segmentation, enrichment, reporting
  • Automate marketing loops using Claude Code and other AI tools
  • If Growth Experimentation: build and run an experimentation program - own the backlog, design tests with proper statistical rigor, ship results, kill what doesn't work, scale what does
  • If Outbound + Agentic AI: generate pipeline from targeted account lists (ABM approach) - from signal to sequence, fast; build AI agents and automations for outbound using Clay, n8n, Apollo, Instantly, and LLM-driven personalization

Requirements
  • Startup mindset - the team often operates on a 6-day work week (Monday through Saturday) to match the pace of our market. This is a high-intensity, high-ownership environment with a heavy volume of work. We move fast, iterate constantly, and take full accountability for what we deliver
  • Active daily AI user (must-have) - Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools to actually do the job, not just experiment. Must give specific examples from recent work
  • Startup-minded, self-driven, high-velocity - autonomous, ships without being micromanaged
  • Proficient in data analytics - comfortable with attribution models, funnel metrics, building dashboards independently, extracting insights from large unstructured datasets
  • Advanced English (written and spoken)
  • If Growth Experimentation: experimentation methodology is a must-have - you've built or run an experiment registry, understand statistical significance, not just "ran A/B tests"; 3+ years hands-on in growth marketing
  • If Outbound + Agentic AI: enterprise ABM depth is a must-have - real experience with large B2B deal sizes; hands-on experience building AI agents/automations for outbound; technical stack fluency: Clay, n8n, Apollo, Instantly, API integrations between tools

Nice to have
  • B2B SaaS experience - understands the funnel, pipeline metrics, how marketing connects to revenue
  • People management and prioritization experience
  • Basic scripting (Python, SQL) - enough to pull data or automate a task
  • Familiarity with the MarTech/analytics space
  • 6-day working week readiness and flexibility on hours

You'll thrive here if you
  • Are senior enough to set the direction, but still enjoy doing the work yourself
  • Default to "I'll figure it out" rather than "can someone show me"
  • Move fast and feel frustrated when processes slow you down
  • See AI as a way to do the work of three people, not a novelty
  • Don't need a manager to tell you what to prioritize

What We Offer
  • Remote-first environment
  • Competitive salary and commission structure
  • Stock options
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K plan
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 13 paid holidays
  • Professional development reimbursement
