Job Summary:

Provides support and assistance to the Cedar Memorial Licensed Funeral Directors in bringing deceased individuals into the care of the funeral home.ย This position is a part-time on-call position from the hours of 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM two to three nights per week.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • On an as-needed (on-call) basis, accompanies the Licensed Funeral Director to the place of death (home, hospital, care facility, other locations).ย 
  • Transports deceased body to the funeral home from hospitals, homes, or other locations.ย 
  • Follows the direction of the Licensed Funeral Director to assist with the removal of the deceased respectfully, compassionately, and professionally.
  • At the request of the Funeral Director, may drive to the place of death, which could be a significant distance, in various weather conditions.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to families, medical staff, and Associates.ย ย ย 
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures.ย ย 
  • Maintains a safe driving record in accordance with Cedar Memorials' insurance policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
