Job description

Schedule: M-F 8:00am or 8:30am-5:00pm, 40 hours/week
100% Onsite -TCU Corporate Offices in Vacaville, California.
Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the communities served by Travis Credit Union, which include the following counties: Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo.
We are unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of employment visas for this position. Candidates must have current authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Summary: The Travis Credit Union (TCU) Funding Specialists are responsible for analyzing, verifying, and processing consumer loans within required time frames. This roleensures loan requests are in compliance with Credit Union and Regulatory guidelines. TCU's Funding Specialists meet department standards and ensure effective productivity and quality service levels are achieved.
Profile:
  • Analyzes and validates supporting documentation prior to processing consumer loan applications to prevent fraud and ensures quality control.
  • Interprets approvals and/or conditions and verifies that all requirements have been met.
  • Ensures loans are in compliance with all credit union and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensures quality service is provided at all times when communicating with members and internal/external business partners.
  • Proactively monitors loan queues and service requests, ensuring timely responsiveness.
  • Completes daily departmental functions such as running and reviewing reports.
  • Provides assistance, direction and training to peers and internal business partners.
  • Completes ongoing training, maintains up-to-date knowledge of Consumer Lending policies and procedures, and credit union products and services.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve departmental processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Administers functional area testing for myriad system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Assists in all areas of Consumer Lending as needed.
Skills:
  • Ability to navigate and process within multiple interdependent systems and tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret a credit report.
  • Ability to identify, communicate and advocate financial solutions that drive results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and efficiently organize work priorities and accurately complete multiple tasks within strict timeframes with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion when reviewing appropriate exceptions to the Credit Union guidelines.

    • Associate Funding Specialist:Minimum of 1 year consumer loan processing or equivalent loan processing work experience or minimum of 2 years of customer service or clerical work experience.
    • Funding Specialist:Minimum of 2 years consumer loan processing or equivalent loan processing work experience.
Compensation:Base hourly starting range is commensurate with experience.
  • Assoc. Funding Specialist: Grade 8: $21.57/hour -$26.65/hour
  • Funding Specialist- Grade 9: $23.49/hour -$29.01/hour
