Position: Project Manager/Business Analyst (Contractor)

Reports to: Head of Investment Technology and Data Management

About the Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Technology team as a Hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst. This unique role combines the critical skills of project management with the analytical expertise of a business analyst. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, technology integration, business analysis, data management, and streamlining/automation of repetitive processes, particularly within the investment management industry. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management:· Lead and manage projects and parts of larger projects from initiation to completion, ensuring objectives are met within scope, time, and budget.· Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.· Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.· Monitor project progress, proactively addressing any issues or roadblocks.· Uphold project management best practices and company standards, ensuring comprehensive documentation.· Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.· Oversee vendor integration projects, including data mapping, business use case definition, and business function mapping.· Manage the full lifecycle of vendor integration, from initial business requirements and vendor selection to implementation and business model integration.Business Analysis:· Perform in-depth analysis of business processes, systems, and user needs to identify improvement opportunities.· Elicit, document, and manage business requirements through interviews, workshops, and data analysis.· Develop functional specifications, process diagrams, and use cases for communication with technical teams.· Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.· Evaluate and recommend solutions that align with business goals and objectives.· Contribute to data governance practices to define and improve data lineage, processes, accuracy, and cataloging.· Utilize data analysis and automation tools such as Power BI, SQL, VBA and Excel to support business teams in creating data-driven solutions. Education/Experience/Skills (REQUIRED)Education: BA/BS required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.Work Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, PMP) is preferred.· 5-7 years of experience in the investment management industry.· Proven track record in project management and business analysis, with successful project delivery.· Advanced understanding of investment systems and full-cycle vendor product management.· Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business processes into actionable requirements.· Prior experience in the fixed income asset class.Advanced level knowledge of Power BI, SQL and Office 365 and working knowledge of VBA and other automation tools.
