This leadership role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who thrives on managing complex projects, building strong client relationships, and guiding teams from project kickoff through successful completion.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide overall leadership and direction for assigned construction projects, with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost, financial performance, client satisfaction, and successful project delivery. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex construction efforts while working alongside experienced field and office professionals and building lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and project teams.
The Senior Project Manager provides overall leadership and oversight of assigned industrial and commercial construction projects from planning through completion. The position is accountable for project safety, quality, schedule, cost, productivity, and overall financial performance while ensuring work is executed in alignment with company standards and client expectations. The Senior Project Manager leads cross-functional project teams, including field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and craft labor, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders. Working closely with field and office teams, this position manages project planning, scheduling, forecasting, cost control, staffing, contract administration, and operational performance. The successful candidate demonstrates strong construction knowledge, leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills and the ability to successfully manage complex projects and multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for assigned construction projects to ensure safe, timely, high-quality, and cost-effective execution of work.
  • Lead projects from initial planning and kickoff through construction, closeout, and successful completion.
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, earned value analysis, and financial reporting using company accounting and project control systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust project schedules, sequencing, and manpower plans to support project milestones and successful execution.
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle, developing strong relationships and ensuring clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to establish priorities, resolve issues, and maintain alignment on project objectives.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, contract administration, scope compliance, and technical execution in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate staffing and supervision of key field positions and project personnel to ensure appropriate resource allocation based on project demands.
  • Monitor and enforce company, client, and regulatory safety requirements, including participation in safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective coordination between office and field teams to maintain accurate project information, documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Utilize and continuously improve company management systems and processes supporting project planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting, and operational performance.
  • Identify project risks, resolve operational challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain productivity, quality, cost, and schedule performance.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, procurement, safety, quality, and operations teams to support successful project execution.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation to identify requirements, risks, changes, and potential impacts to project performance.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established scope, schedule, budget, and manpower requirements and communicate variances to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support change management, claims, negotiations, and resolution of project issues in coordination with company leadership and applicable stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to project team members while promoting accountability, professional development, and high performance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout project execution.

Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects, with increasing levels of project leadership and responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex construction projects from planning and kickoff through completion and closeout.
  • Experience with construction estimating, cost control, forecasting, earned value, and project financial management.
  • Experience leading field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional project personnel in active construction environments.
  • Experience managing safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and financial performance on complex construction environments.
  • Experience developing and maintain strong client relationships and serving as a primary point of contact throughout project execution.
  • Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction/project management software such as Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
  • Experience or exposure to Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) preferred.

Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience may be considered.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Additional training or certifications in construction scheduling, estimating, project controls, or project management preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
