ABOUT THE ROLE
Windsor is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented engineering student for a part-time internship with our electrical engineering team. The ideal candidate would be interested in working between 8-40 hours per week out of our Ridgefield, WA office with exact schedule dependent on candidate availability and workload available. This role is perfect for a junior or senior in an electrical engineering bachelor program looking gain experience in the world of MEP consulting.
Timeline: This internship would start as soon as the candidate is available and go through the summer. For the right candidate, there are opportunities to continue part-time work during the school year or join full-time after graduation. This is not guaranteed, and options are evaluated at the end of the summer.
Pay: Hourly pay starts at $23/hour
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Demonstrate Windsor's core values: The Right Attitude, Ownership, and Constant Improvement.
  • Take an active role in your personal development by asking questions and researching solutions to project challenges.
  • Gain exposure to the industry, systems, codes, and other disciplines.
  • Perform drafting and modeling as directed in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or Revit software.
  • Perform engineering calculations under the supervision of qualified staff.
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Coordinate with your supervisor and team members on assigned tasks.
  • Communicate well with team members verbally and in writing.
  • Represent Windsor positively both inside and outside the firm.
  • Manage your time to accomplish tasks within the hours allocated.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Enrolled as a junior or senior working towards bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related Engineering discipline (ABET-accredited preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and contractor interface.
  • Strong Word, Excel and powerpoint skills for supporting project leads and coordinators with preparing project documents and calculations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to work in outdoor field conditions and construction environments on an as-needed basis.
