Job Description

The Channel Growth & Strategy Lead will own the vision, development, and execution of a bestinclass YouTube strategy designed to grow audience reach, deepen engagement, strengthen brand affinity, and drive donations for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This role serves as the strategic quarterback for YouTube across ALSAC, leading channel programming, performance optimization, and creator partnerships while ensuring YouTube is fully integrated into ALSAC-St. Jude's broader marketing and fundraising ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking, platform fluency, storytelling expertise, and crossfunctional leadership.

Essential Job Functions

YouTube Strategy & Vision
Develop, own, and execute a comprehensive YouTube channel strategy aligned with ALSAC and St. Jude brand, audience, and fundraising objectives.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment
Build and maintain strong stakeholder alignment across ALSAC and St. Jude Hospital teams, serving as the central point of leadership for YouTube strategy and execution.

Enterprise YouTube Growth Strategy
Define broader ALSAC goals and priorities on YouTube and coordinate with crossfunctional partners to ensure seamless alignment, execution, and performance across initiatives.

Performance Measurement & Optimization
Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure growth, engagement, retention, and conversion, translating performance data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Integrated Marketing Leadership
Partner closely with social media, paid media, content, and creative teams to integrate YouTube into an orchestrated, audiencecentric marketing strategy spanning branded content, longform video, shortform video, audio, and podcasting.

Platform Expertise & Innovation
Stay ahead of YouTube platform updates, algorithm changes, emerging formats, and best practices to drive consistent performance across multiple audiences and content verticals.

Creator & Partnership Strategy
Lead YouTube partnership efforts in collaboration with E&I, Content & Creative, and Social teams to maximize owned content, expand reach through creator collaborations, and leverage borrowed audience equity to support St. Jude's mission.

Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing or digital media strategy, with demonstrated success driving growth on YouTube.
  • Deep expertise in YouTube analytics, SEO, audience development, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience leading crossdepartmental and crossdivisional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Strong platform fluency and strategic understanding of YouTube's role for creators, marketers, and audiences.
  • Exceptional storytelling instincts with a strong grasp of brand positioning and emotional narrative.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights, strategies, and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and crossfunctional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with creators, influencers, or media partners is a plus.
