Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

The Regional Channel Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships with distribution channel partners within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role involves building and strengthening relationships, implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue for Corning through the distributor. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual who can work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to maximize business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager and Territory Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies that maximize revenue growth within the assigned region.
  • Lead monthly business reviews with distributors to assess performance, identify opportunities, and ensure local inventory levels are aligned with market demand.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for distribution partners, providing ongoing support and addressing business needs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Corning Channel Managers and internal cross-functional teams to develop and execute joint business plans and ensure seamless strategy alignment.
  • Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and strengthen channel performance.
  • Educate and enable distribution partners through product training, webinars, workshops, and ongoing communication around Corning’s products, services, and value proposition.
  • Track distributor performance against key performance indicators, maintain accurate sales and pipeline activity in SFDC, and provide regular forecasts, insights, and recommendations to management.
Experience and Education- Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, channel sales, partner management or business development
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) & Microsoft Office Suite

The range for this position is$68,040.00-$93,555.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
