Geis Utility Trailer offers a great opportunity to start or build your career! A New Technician Toolkit Program is available to entry or apprentice-level technicians.
Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is seeking qualified technicians and entry-level technicians to work in our 18-bay shop in Kansas City, KS.
We are a dealer for Utility Trailers, Clement Trailers, and Trailstar. We offer complete repairs on dryvan trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and end dump trailers. Geis Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is locally owned and operated by Geis Dealer Group – Peterbilt and Utility Trailer.
Experienced applicants must be capable of making quality repairs to the suspension, lighting /electrical system, air brake and ABS systems, steel and aluminum welding, and trailer body/structure and doors. The applicant must also possess the skills to perform accurate and complete preventive maintenance inspections, PMs, and annual DOT inspections. Training is available on specific air and electronic systems.

Shifts: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm or 2:30pm -11pm
Reports To: Service Manager
Roles of a technician | Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Commitment to Safety and Service Excellence.
  • Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM).
  • Perform air brake diagnostics, repairs and inspections.
  • Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs utilizing a laptop diagnostic system.
  • Perform floor, roof, door and side panel repairs.
  • Perform minor and major accident repairs.
  • Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments.
  • Perform aluminum and steel welding.
  • Perform general repairs on trailer and trailer dollies.
  • Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for adhering to all warranty policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair.
  • Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.
