Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Boston, MA
Work Model: Hybrid - Minimum of 3 days per week in the office or at the client site starting March 2026
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $121,000 - $181,400 / year
Vendor Fee: $2500
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a high-performing team in Boston, MA. This role focuses on corporate tax compliance, consulting, and provision (ASC 740) work for large multi-state, national, and global clients. The ideal candidate will have strong public accounting experience and the ability to manage complex corporate tax engagements while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and audit corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 provision work.
  • Support large multi-state and international corporate clients.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local income tax laws, including taxation of international activity and transfer pricing considerations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing tax guidance and consulting.
  • Manage engagements, timelines, and deliverables while mentoring junior staff.
  • Collaborate with client teams to provide insights into tax accounting, planning, and reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • Active CPA in Massachusetts or JD/active law license.
  • 4-7+ years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience.
  • Corporate income tax and ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) expertise.
  • Public accounting experience at a Top 15 firm or large regional firm.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and corporate income tax regulations.
  • Strong understanding of state and local taxes, international tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Excellent client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work hybrid (minimum 3 days/week in office or client site).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) software.
  • Steady career history without frequent job changes.
  • Manager-level experience (1-2 years in current role).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA required; JD/license is an acceptable alternative.
