Class A OTR Driver

Orient, OH

Eitels Towing Serviceย is currently seeking a full-timeย Class A OTR Driverย to join their team inย Orient, Ohio!

The right candidate will have:

  • CDL A License requiredย 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical degree or certification in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or a similar role is an asset.

Class A OTR Driver Responsibilities:

  • Drivers transport goods from one location to another as per their assigned routes. They must ensure that the products are loaded properly, secured, and protected during transit. They need to follow all safety protocols to prevent any damage to the cargo.
  • CDL drivers must strictly adhere to all traffic laws, including speed limits, parking restrictions, and any other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all transportation-related rules and regulations set forth by the relevant government authorities.
  • Responsible for planning and navigating their routes effectively. They should be familiar with the routes, alternate routes, and potential obstacles to ensure timely and safe transportation.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on their vehicles, including checking oil levels, tire pressure, and inspecting brakes. They need to report any mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance staff to resolve them.
  • Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable is also part of their responsibilities.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to provide updates on their progress, report any delays or issues, and seek assistance if required.
