Job description

Reliable Towing is seeking a dependable, motivated, and organized Towing Dispatcher to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage several calls and drivers at once.


Our dispatchers are the connection between customers, law enforcement agencies, commercial accounts, and our drivers. The right candidate will remain calm under pressure, provide excellent customer service, and keep calls moving safely and efficiently.


Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls professionally and gather accurate information

Dispatch the appropriate driver, truck, and equipment for each call

Coordinate light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing assignments

Track driver locations, availability, job status, and estimated arrival times

Enter complete and accurate call information into Towbook

Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, law enforcement, and commercial accounts

Monitor scheduled calls, emails, and transportation boards

Provide customers with timely and accurate updates

Verify job details, charges, payment status, and completion information

Maintain organized records and provide a complete shift handoff

Handle high call volumes and changing priorities calmly and professionally

Qualifications

Strong telephone and customer-service skills

Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities

Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

Comfortable using computers, email, maps, and dispatching software

Able to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

Professional attitude and attention to detail

Towing, transportation, dispatch, or call-center experience is preferred but not required

Knowledge of the Northern Idaho and Spokane-area road systems is helpful
