Job description

Game Seven Agency, an Excel Sports Management Company, is a full service creative and experiential agency that lives for sport, music and culture. From the biggest moments to the smallest details, we pride ourselves on being in the know and building relationships that matter, for brands that matter.

Our team is comprised of creatives, strategists, producers, designers, project managers, influencer managers, filmmakers, volunteers, activists, ballplayers, hypebeasts, social media moguls, runners, mixologists, party promoters, hip-hop elitists, show-bingers, hot-take havers, vintage t-shirt collectors, fitness fanatics, pet parents, plant parents, human parents, and general good time havers.

Clients include Hennessey, Nike, Jordan, Spotify, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon, Timberland, Oakley, Footlocker, Chime, Fanatics, Bleacher Report, Uninterrupted, and more.

About the Role

At Game Seven, we believe best-in-class social creative spans everything from stunty ideas to perfectly timed reaction posts, culturally fluent memes, and timely comments.

The Social Creative Director leads creative output across all social work streams — concepts, copy, video, static, motion — and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves to get it done. This role demands sharp art direction, strong concepting instincts, and the ability to personally execute at a high level while also guiding a team. You set the creative standard not just by giving notes, but by showing what great looks like.

We're looking for someone with a bias toward action, who's led large-scale social creative at an agency before and brings that experience to Game Seven. You're a maker first and a leader second, someone who can concept an idea in the morning, art direct a shoot in the afternoon, and review a high volume of social deliverables before EOD. You champion collaboration, uphold strong creative processes, and push for work that breaks through. Most importantly, you take a hands-on role in ensuring the highest quality output and establishing strong narrative throughlines for the everyday content that builds brands over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead creative social outputs across assigned social accounts, with an ability to ensure best-in-class execution across all formats
  • Mentor and develop social creatives, fostering growth, accountability, and high standards
  • Partner with business and account leads, including cross-functional teammates as needed
  • Collaborate with client-side creative leads to ensure seamless communication between teams
  • Partner on new business opportunities, leading social creative strategy, developing concepts, and presenting ideas to clients
  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader, providing clear direction and trusted creative counsel
  • Build scalable social toolkits, templates, and systems to drive efficiency and brand consistency
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, evolve best practices and translate insights into actionable creative recommendations
  • Oversee resourcing and team structure, supporting hiring, onboarding, utilization tracking, and performance development
  • Establish and oversee critical back-end processes to ensure effective delivery of high volume of assets
  • Champion agency culture, processes, and cross-functional collaboration
Requirements
  • 7-10+ years leading social creative for major brands within an agency environment
  • Proven ability to build and evolve brands through culturally fluent, platform-native social content
  • Strong visual design and creative direction background
  • Expert knowledge of social platforms and creator tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator), Figma, CapCut, and Google Slides
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing and mentoring creative teams
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments across multiple accounts
  • Passion for sport, culture, and music

The pay range for the full time position is $175,000 - 200,000 per year. The full time position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Please note that compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to local salary transparency laws.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
