Job description

Operator 2nd Shift– Oak Creek, WI $1.00 Shift Premium

Under the direction of Plant Supervision, this individual sets up and operates slitting machines to slit continuous lengths of film material meeting delivery requirements and quality standards to customer specifications.

This Full-Time Position is responsible for operating packaging equipment in accordance to production and customer specifications. These specifications include line efficiencies, equipment performance and finished product fit, form and functionality.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Continually supports production with supplies, tests and equipment adjustments to meet required production rates.
  • Communicates well with team members, makes equipment adjustments in a timely manner to address potential product failures.
  • Performs roll changes and documents required traceability information.
  • Documents required daily activities in a complete and accurate manner (i.e., downtime, quality tests, production)
  • Independently complete assigned job set up tasks in a timely manner.
  • Achieve equipment/production targets and participate in identifying/correcting deficiencies identified.
  • Identify and proactively communicate equipment malfunctions, spare part /service needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School level mathematics
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety procedures, production documents, and accurately complete required production records in English
  • Understand standard and metric measurements.

Plant Location: Oak Creek, WI

Work Scheduled Shift: 2nd shift Monday through Thursday with OT possible on Friday and Saturday.

Pay: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt

Rate: $20.00 to $24.00/hr. based upon experience plus 2nd Shift differential/premium
