Slitter Operator - Night Shift
Location:
Elk Grove Village, IL
Pay:
$21.74/hr + $2.00/hr Night Shift Differential
Schedule:
5:45 PM – 6:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
We are hiring Slitter Operators to join a manufacturing team producing packaging materials. This is a hands-on production role that involves operating machinery, handling materials, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate slitting, roll handling, and wrapping equipment
Cut and prepare cores for production runs
Weigh, label, wrap, and palletize finished rolls
Perform quality inspections before and after production
Enter production information into company systems
Move materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment
Follow all safety, quality, and food safety procedures
Assist with basic preventative maintenance and report equipment issues
Requirements:
Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation
Experience with forklifts, pallet wrapping, or material handling equipment
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to read measurements and use measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts
