What qualifications do you need to work at a gun range?

To work as a full-time shooting range manager, candidates typically need prior experience with firearms, knowledge of safety protocols, and relevant certifications such as NRA certifications or state firearm licenses. Strong leadership, customer service skills, and the ability to enforce safety rules are also important qualifications.

Is it hard to get a job with a gun charge?

Having a gun charge can significantly impact employment prospects for a Full Time Shooting Range Manager, as many employers conduct background checks and may disqualify candidates with criminal records related to firearms. Licensing, certifications, and a clean background are often required for such roles, making it more challenging to secure employment with a gun charge. Employers prioritize trustworthiness and legal compliance in this industry.

How much does a gun range manager make?

A full-time shooting range manager typically earns between $35,000 and $60,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and the size of the range. Managers often oversee staff, enforce safety protocols, and maintain equipment, requiring strong leadership and safety certification skills.

How much does a gun range owner make?

A full-time shooting range manager's salary varies based on location, size, and profitability of the range, but typically ranges from $40,000 to $70,000 annually. Owners of gun ranges can earn significantly more if they own multiple locations or operate a highly successful business, with some earning over six figures. Management skills, safety certifications, and experience in the firearms industry influence earning potential.
