THE JOB:
As a Cook at our upscale Italian restaurant, Costa, passion meets tradition. You'll play a starring role in creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests by presenting them with WOW moments. This is an opportunity to bring your culinary expertise to a setting that values precision, skill, and creativity.
THE STARTING RATE: $23.05 per hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
  • Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
  • Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
  • Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
  • Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
  • Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • 1+ Years of Prior experience as a professional Cook in a high-volume production or fine dining restaurant is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Italian and/or fine dining cuisines and cooking techniques is a bonus
  • Willing and able to work Part-Time schedule, consisting of 24-30 hours per week. Fridays and Saturdays are a MUST including weekends and holidays

Pay Rate
The rate for this role is:
$23.05
This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.
Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.
Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
