Support World-Class Operations as Assistant General Manager at United Defense Tactical Scottsdale!

Ready to step into a high-impact leadership role and help build Arizonas premier reality-based firearms and self-defense training facility? United Defense Tactical (UDT) in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an General Manager to partner closely with the GM/Owner, support daily operations, drive team performance, and deliver exceptional experiences to our memberscivilians, military, and law enforcement alike. Youll help oversee Firearms Instructors running threat simulators and live-fire sessions, Front Desk Associates providing elite customer service, and Sales Representatives closing memberships, all while living our core mantra: Dont make excuses, make it happen.
This is the perfect position for a rising leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants to grow into full GM responsibility as we scale post-launch.
What Youll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Owner on full facility oversight: daily operations, scheduling, inventory control, compliance, and maintaining a safe, spotless, world-class environment.
  • Directly support and coach department leadsFirearms Instructors (threat-based simulators, force-on-force, live-fire ranges), Front Desk Associates (customer check-ins, reservations, billing), and Sales Representatives (membership demos, tours, CRM updates).
  • Help drive key performance metrics: revenue targets, membership growth, class fill rates, customer satisfaction scores, and retail/training upsell opportunities.
  • Step in to manage peak periods, resolve escalated customer issues, and ensure seamless execution of training sessions, facility tours, and sales presentations.
  • Maintain rigorous safety standards and protocols across all simulator, force-on-force, and live-fire activitieskeeping every participant secure and confident.
  • Assist with administrative systems: CRM management, class/seminar scheduling, performance reporting, and process improvements to keep operations efficient and scalable.
  • Represent UDT with positivity and professionalismdelivering white-glove service that turns first-time visitors into lifelong empowered defenders.
Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40+ hours/week (flexible schedule with some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays to align with peak training and sales windows).
  • Location: 4848 E Cactus Rd, Suite 210, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
What Were Looking For:

  • 4+ years of supervisory or assistant management experience in training facilities, fitness centers, hospitality, retail operations, or member-based servicesfirearms, tactical, or shooting range background is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to coach and motivate teams, hit performance goals, and maintain high standards under pressure.
  • Strong operational mindset: comfort with scheduling tools, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and basic data analysis to support decisions.
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills to handle diverse customers and team dynamics.
  • High energy, calm demeanor, and genuine passion for firearms safety, self-defense, and empowermentrelevant certifications (NRA, USCCA, AZPOST, etc.) or willingness to obtain them preferred.
