Overview

Job Purpose

ICE Corporate Systems is actively recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow ITOM Developer to design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role focuses exclusively on application development and platform customization for ITOM and Service Mapping. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced ServiceNow ITOM solutions, focusing on Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB integrations, and automation to ensure accurate visibility of digital services. You will collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements and with QA teams to ensure high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership skills to drive innovation and technical excellence, ensure platform stability, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • ITOM and Service Mapping
    • Design and implement custom Discovery patterns and Service Mapping solutions to identify infrastructure and application dependencies across the enterprise
    • Enhance and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy, CI lifecycle management, reconciliation, and overall CMDB health
    • Integrate ServiceNow with third-party platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) using MID servers, REST/SOAP APIs, and other connectors
    • Develop scripts, workflows, and automation using ServiceNow Studio, JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and platform-native tools to support efficient ITOM processes
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ITSM, security, and business stakeholders, to capture requirements, define use cases, and translate them into technical solutions
    • Participate in platform governance, continual improvement, and operational support including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support
  • Leadership
    • Lead technical design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing ServiceNow capabilities.
    • Lead large complex projects and effectively communicate status updates to management/stakeholders.
    • Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards across the team.
  • Solution Delivery
    • Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    • Collaborate with platform architects and security teams to ensure compliance and performance.
    • Work closely with QA teams to support testing efforts, resolve defects, and ensure successful deployments.
    • Maintain documentation for developed solutions and technical designs.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on ITOM and CMDB
  • In-depth knowledge of ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB processes
  • Expertise in scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies.
  • Expertise in using ServiceNow components such as App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, Script Editor and Portal Design.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and Integration Hub.
  • Proven ability to design and implement custom scoped applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience working in Agile tools (JIRA) and leading technical projects
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple ServiceNow instances.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong personal initiative and willingness to take on responsibility.
  • Ability to prioritize work efficiently without direct management guidance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for ITOM, Discovery, or CMDB, and fundamentals like CSA are strongly preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator strongly preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer strongly preferred
