Description

The Digital Content Creator supports the Senior Digital Content Manager, Lead Digital Content Writer and ICC Communications team with the development of high-quality copy for websites, marketing materials, communications and other digital vehicles. The ideal candidate is able to juggle many different tasks and projects smoothly, efficiently, and with a positive attitude. He/she is highly organized, creative and flexible, and willing to assist other communications team members when needed.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

Creating and distributing Industry Digest newsletter (1x week)

Assisting in researching/editing/writing & coordinating delivery of bylines for earned media

Researching/editing/interviewing/writing & coordinating delivery of Building Safety Journal articles 

Writing staff email from HR (monthly)

Researching/editing/writing original content for websites (including employee directory)

Executing email marketing initiatives for internal clients

Reviewing the Weekly Roundup internal newsletter 

Monitoring the ICC Communications inbox

Writing and distributing employee newsletter (monthly) 

Writing, editing & distributing monthly talking points for ICC Board of Directors

Supporting writer for ICC Annual Conference scripts

Lead writer of talking points for keynote speeches for C-suite

Lead writer of Building Safety Month webpages & materials (and process Building Safety Month proclamations)

Proofreading & editing all department content including eblasts

Special assignments as needed (ICC Pulse Podcast, etc.)

Essential Skills and Education/Experience:

3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Knowledge of design and visual principles with the ability to evaluate design choices critically, keeping the customer in mind.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage several multifaceted projects and correlating deadlines at once.

Excellent proofreading skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task.

Familiarity with AP style.

Experience with Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Monday.com and WordPress

Experience in basic video production a plus.

Be able to take feedback and make necessary changes as requested by client/stakeholder/manager

Must be able to work full-time (Remote position)

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer or desk 

Occasional standing, walking, and reaching to access files or office supplies 

Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment 

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, documents) 

Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials 

Auditory ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone 

May need to climb stairs in multi-level office building 

Ability to travel up to 20% annually
