Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a Resident Project Representative (RPR) to support construction administration and inspection services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. In this field-based role, you will serve as a key on-site representative during construction, working closely with contractors, engineers, regulators, and project teams to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, schedules, and regulatory requirements. This position offers hands-on exposure to active infrastructure projects and requires travel, with the majority of time spent at construction sites throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Measure quantities and maintain accurate daily RPR/inspection reports
  • Coordinate field activities with office-based construction administration staff
  • Assist with contractor pay requisitions and quantity verification
  • Evaluate, document, and process changes in construction work elements
  • Interface with contractors, engineers, homeowners, and regulatory agencies
  • Attend construction progress meetings and communicate field issues

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of construction field or inspection experience with the ability to measure quantities and complete daily reports
  • Experience working directly with contractors and managing construction documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Procore or MS Project a plus
  • EIT, PE, NICET, and/or NASSCO certification a plus
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to project sites
