Job description

Full Time Nanny required for a warm and loving Tribeca family with two young children starting ASAP. The family is looking for the best of the best to join their childcare team! Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their children in a loving, engaging, and age-appropriate way. To be successful, you will need to have a team player mindset, be looking to partner with a hands-on and present SAHM and communicate efficiently with other caregivers. The ideal candidates are warm, gentle, proactive and experienced with toddler and school age milestones. Flexibility is crucial to this role - the family is seeking 7 day a week coverage and you will be providing frequent weekend support. The nanny team rotates across all days/shifts. The family travels extensively and the ability (and interest!) to travel with the family (domestic + international) is required.

Location: The family's primary residence is Tribeca, NY (live-out), with homes in Southern CA, The Hamptons and Switzerland. Live-in support is expected during travel and the family travels frequently.

Start date: ASAP

Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hours/week with general hours to land between 7am-8pm. The childcare team supports the family 7 days a week, and the nannies should expect to work 4-5 days/week with regular weekend shifts. 2 nannies are scheduled to work every weekend. Nannies will be provided schedules in advance, however flexibility is required for travel, coverage for other nannies, etc.

Children: two children - girl (4 yrs) + boy (18 months)

Conditions: $50 - $55 per hour* (paid as a W2 employee + x1.5 for hours above 40 hrs/week) plus healthcare stipend, unlimited OMNYcard, sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays *dependent on experience.

Candidates with previous experience supporting UHNW/HNW families in a ROTA/Nanny team are highly desired. The family is open to negotiation for exceptional candidates and all strong candidates are encouraged to apply!

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Clean drivers license ideal but not required (no NYC driving)
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience as a nanny, 5-10 years preferred
  • A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers and school aged children
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • Comfortable working in a partnership/alongside with other caregivers and Mother in the home
  • Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
  • Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions (this family is looking for a long term commitment)
  • An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel with short notice
  • A valid passport (or willingness to obtain ASAP)
  • Comfortable with pets (no direct pet care/responsibilities)
  • Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times, reflecting the high standards and values prioritized by the family
  • Fluency in both oral and written English
