• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, specifically tailored to address the unique challenges that older adults face.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that consider cognitive, emotional, and social factors influencing your patients’ mental health.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, delivering both individual and family therapy sessions to effectively address geriatric psychiatric conditions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with geriatric psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary health team, ensuring integrated care that enhances therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention, offering support and guidance to elderly patients and their families during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and caregivers about mental health disorders, therapeutic options, and available community support resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with both legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Actively engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to foster your skills and knowledge.

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, including individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety disorders, dementia, and adjustment disorders. You will be instrumental in providing specialized care that not only addresses their psychological concerns but also enhances their overall well-being, autonomy, and quality of life.

• An advanced degree (Master's or Doctoral) in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
• A deep understanding of geriatric mental health issues, evidence-based treatment modalities, and effective therapeutic interventions.

• Experience working with elderly populations, particularly in delivering individual and family therapy tailored to their specific needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care.
• Technical proficiency with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
• A collaborative mindset, ready to work within a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care.

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
