Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our legal team as a Senior Trial Attorney. The Senior Trial Attorney will serve as first chair on designated cases and will be responsible for representing clients in all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution. This includes managing cases from inception through resolution, as well as conducting court appearances, trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. The role requires developing and executing comprehensive case strategies, preparing and presenting evidence, conducting direct and cross-examinations, drafting and arguing motions, and negotiating settlements. The Senior Trial Attorney will advocate zealously on behalf of clients before judges, juries, and opposing counsel, ensuring the highest standard of legal representation and professionalism throughout all phases of litigation.
In addition to litigation responsibilities, this position will lead the department, collaborate closely with senior leadership, and provide mentorship and training to associates and support staff to strengthen the firm's overall litigation practice and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Develop case strategies and present arguments before judges and juries.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare for trial.
  • Negotiate settlements and plea agreements when appropriate.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation matters.
  • Work collaboratively with legal teams, paralegals, and investigators.
  • Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Review and analyze complex employment law documents and contracts.
  • Monitor compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Participate in client development and business generation activities.
  • Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
  • Develop and implement litigation budgets.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants.

Qualifications
Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
Experience:
  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • 2+ years of trial experience
  • Strong background in procedural rules (e.g., Rule 23 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure)

Skills:
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
  • Superior project management and team leadership capabilities.
