This full-time remote role allows you to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals to address key mental health challenges facing our communities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of clients through your clinical expertise, therapeutic interventions, and an unwavering commitment to compassionate care.

About the Organization

At Brilliant Lotus Counseling Center, we pride ourselves on being a supportive community of mental health professionals dedicated to providing excellent care for individuals facing mental health issues. Located in Inglewood, California, we focus on offering holistic approaches to therapy while emphasizing collaboration with psychiatrists, medical staff, and community organizations. Our mission is to respond effectively to the urgent mental health needs of diverse populations, including those involved in the county jail system.

Work Environment

Our work setting emphasizes flexibility and the utmost respect for work-life balance. As a fully remote position, you will have the ability to structure your workday while ensuring consistent and uplifting support for our clients. Our outpatient office offers a collaborative and resourceful environment where therapists thrive on shared knowledge and team-based problem-solving strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate clients' mental health status, including their emotional, psychological, and social needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that align with clients' specific goals, ensuring that each aspect of care is personalized and evidence-based.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions in various formats: individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, tailored to the dynamics and needs of each client.
  • Provide crisis intervention support and effectively manage high-stress situations involving clients in acute distress or with acute mental health issues.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential client treatment records in adherence to all relevant legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage and collaborate with a diverse team of mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and continuity, advocating for clients whenever necessary.
  • Stay informed of emerging research, best practices, and developments in the mental health field to continually enhance the quality of your practice.
  • Participate proactively in supervision sessions, training workshops, and continuing education opportunities to bolster your clinical skills further.
  • Follow ethical standards and guidelines set forth by relevant licensure boards, building trust and accountability within the client-therapist relationship.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clinical focus will encompass a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with varying degrees of mental illness, ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex issues such as psychosis and substance abuse. Many of our clients may also require additional support due to involvement in the county jail system, wherein your expertise becomes instrumental in their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a specialized area related to mental health.
  • Current state licensure as a mental health therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) is essential.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills that can be applied to diverse client cases.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for meaningful connections with clients and collaboration with team members.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a profound dedication to the overall well-being of clients.
  • Ability to operate both independently and as an integral contributor within a therapeutic team.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines governing mental health practice, ensuring compliance in all service delivery.
  • A strong commitment to continuous professional growth and engagement in collaborative learning opportunities.
Preferred Experience

A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Particular emphasis is placed on experience working with complex mental health cases and individuals in crisis.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and clinical licensure. Our package further includes:

  • A 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
