Position Overview

West Advisory Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our expanding team. In this full-time remote position, you will have the opportunity to work with adult individuals and couples, providing critical mental health support. Work Environment

As a fully remote position, you will work in a flexible setting that allows you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own space while maintaining professional standards of care. Our outpatient model enables you to engage with clients virtually, utilizing advanced telehealth platforms that facilitate convenient and effective sessions. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Providing therapeutic services through various modalities, such as individual therapy and couples counseling.
  • Designing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to the unique requirements of each client.
  • Timely submission of documentation for all client interactions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards within a 24-hour window.
  • Participating in regular peer consultations to foster collaborative care approaches and to discuss complex cases.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of client progress and therapy outcomes, contributing to continuous improvement of our therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult clients, including individuals and couples who may be facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will engage with clients dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Your ability to create a trusting and safe environment will be key to their healing process.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • A valid independent license to practice as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in using virtual platforms for client care, showcasing a comfort with technology in a therapeutic setting.
Preferred Experience

While 2 years of clinical experience is required, we highly value candidates who have a diverse therapeutic background, including experience with specific populations or therapeutic modalities. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development are also preferred.
