Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique situations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and preferences, establishing clear benchmarks for recovery.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), delivering tailored interventions that promote mental well-being.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, fostering a supportive network for sustained recovery.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Engage with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, addressing both therapeutic and pharmacological needs.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment methodologies, integrating new insights into practice to continuously enhance patient care.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client sessions and treatment plans, complying with all ethical and legal standards.

  • Advocate for clients to promote the destigmatization of mental health issues, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on individuals experiencing a wide range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Working with clients from diverse backgrounds, your primary goal will be to empower them with the tools and support they need to navigate their mental health challenges effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic practice.
  • A robust understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
  • A proven ability to achieve successful outcomes in mood disorder treatment, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills in establishing rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within community health settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with digital health platforms to support remote counseling and documentation practices.
