Community Manager

Full-Time

Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30

Columbus, OH

Open doors to homes, opportunities, and hope. Join Wallick as a Community Manager and help create a well-run, welcoming apartment community where residents can count on dependable service every day.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead daily community operations and keep the site team focused on clear priorities.
  • Support occupancy, leasing activity, resident follow-up and resident retention.
  • Review applications, resident files, inspections and move-out paperwork for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Help manage collections, deposits, invoices and community supplies responsibly.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, associates, owners and internal partners.
  • Keep the community organized, inspection-ready and operating with care and accountability.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in property management, general management or a similar people-leadership role.
  • Strong follow-through, organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Smart, communicative, and high motor skills
  • Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams
  • A valid driver's license.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Affordable housing experience, HUD Section 8 knowledge or COS, LIHTC, HCCP or AHM certification is a plus, not required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a property manager.
  • Yardi or similar property-management software.

  • You communicate respectfully with residents, associates, and business partners.
  • You use information and good judgment to solve problems before they become larger issues.
  • You balance business discipline, compliance, and care for people.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Most work is performed indoors in a community office setting with regular resident and associate interaction. The role includes extensive computer work, filing, community activity and occasional travel to external business activities or other communities as needed. Some bending, stooping and lifting may be required when handling files, supplies or event materials.
