Job description

Shared Services: Technical Services- (Full-Time, Day Shift) -

Job Summary: The Field Engineer Senior delivers the highest level of customer service through technical customer support (remote or on-site) for services pertaining to IT Desktop and Low Voltage Infrastructure. Installs hardware and performs maintenance, fiber and copper cabling, OS settings, configurations, and tier 2 technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. Collaborates with other Information Services work groups to resolve tickets. Follows appropriate escalation process as defined within the Information Services support processes. These services may be provided at LLUH and other facilities under minimal supervision. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum three years of IT Desktop, Low Voltage Infrastructure or mobile technology work experience in a large work environment required; preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of modern desktop hardware and operating systems. Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver's License required at time of hire. BISCI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Apple Certified Support Specialist (ACSP) preferred.
