Job description

Federal Telecommunications Engineer (RCDD)

Location: Overland Park, KS / Denver, CO / Arlington, VA (onsite 5 days/week — specify location on submittal)

Pay: $56.48/hr

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required (Federal)

Contract Type: Contract to Possible Hire

The Opportunity
  • Lead telecom design efforts and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Develop conceptual and detailed ICT/telecom designs including drawings, specifications, and analyses

  • Coordinate with BIM/CAD teams for drawing production

  • Perform quality control reviews and independent technical checks

  • Manage budgets, scopes, and schedules

  • Mentor junior staff

Additional Duties

  • Conduct field assessments and prepare reports

  • Support design guide development

  • Assist with business development

The Team
  • COMPANY’s Special Projects group supports U.S. Government agencies with A/E, defense, design/build, classified, and environmental programs

  • Deliver mission‑critical federal solutions using specialized expertise developed over more than a century

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of NEC/IEEE/EIA/TIA/BICSI standards for ICT and telecom design

  • Strong structured cabling expertise (copper and fiber)

  • Inside plant (ISP) design knowledge — spaces, pathways, cabling

  • Outside plant (OSP) design experience

  • Audio‑visual (AV) system design experience

  • 4+ years telecom design experience supporting complex or federal projects -- required

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to complete federal onboarding including background check, drug screen, and MVR
