Job description

The RCDD Engineer designs, evaluates, and manages electrical distribution systems to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with applicable codes. This role supports the organization’s infrastructure by delivering robust electrical solutions that meet operational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects meet high-quality standards, achieve desired outcomes, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Develop innovative and impactful design solutions that elevate the lives of our clients.

• Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, such as the TDMM, ANSI/TIA standards, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 72, and local regulations.

• Prepare and review system specifications for ICT systems, including material requirements, installation methods, and performance standards.

• Designs telecommunication systems with minimal supervision from senior staff.

• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure low voltage systems are integrated into the overall building design.

• Direct and mentor designers and junior engineers in the preparation of ICT system designs, specifications, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• ICT Certification: RCDD (required); PE license, a plus.

• Healthcare Experience is preferred but not required.

• Education: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Science or Technical discipline preferred.

• Experience: 6 to 10 years of telecom, IT, security, or other low voltage system design experience.

• Computer Skills: Proficient in Revit, Revit 360, and MS Office Suite

• Travel: up to 20% depending on project
